Dining options include an upscale restaurant and a seafood bar and grill. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a day spa and 3 golf courses, plus 80,000 sq ft of meeting space. A daily resort fee covers access to the fitness center, the beach and parking.

Fernandina Beach, FL

Fernandina Beach is a city in and the county seat of Nassau County, Florida , United States. It is the northernmost city on Florida’s Atlantic coast, situated on Amelia Island, and is one of the principal municipalities comprising Greater jacksonville. The area was first inhabited by the Timucuan Indian people. Known as the “Isle of 8 Flags”, Amelia Island has had the flags of the following nations flown over it: France, Spain, Great Britain, Spain (again), the Republic of East Florida (1812), the Republic of the Floridas (1817), Mexico, the Confederate States of America , and the United States.

The French, English, and Spanish all maintained a presence on Amelia Island at various times during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, but the Spanish established Fernandina. The town of Fernandina, which was about a mile from the present city, was named in honor of King Ferdinand VII of Spain by the governor of the Spanish province of East Florida, Enrique White. Fernandina has the distinction of being the last Spanish city platted in the Western Hemisphere, in 1811.

According to the 2010 Census, the city population was 11,487. It is the seat of Nassau County. It is also the largest incorporated city in the county since Yulee is an unincorporated town.

TRAINING OVERVIEW

The intern or trainee will be introduced to Omni Hotels and Resorts, its corporate standards and culture. The training program teaches Food and Beverage Operations administered by Omni professionals. The Food and Beverage training will focus on learning American and International food and beverage techniques and Omni Restaurant methods, specifically in: Food and Beverage, Operations, full service a la carte restaurant dining, high-volume quick output dining and other eateries. Interns and trainees will also learn F&B behaviors that build customer loyalty within the Omni brand and positivity impact hotel guest experience. Upon completion of all the rotating phases in this training, the intern or trainee will be ready to handle almost any Food and Beverage operations anywhere in the world.

HOUSING & TRANSPORT

  • Temporary Housing is not required for the job placement, but is provided by your Host  Organization at NO CHARGE for the first 14 days of your program.
  • Participants may be required to sign a housing agreement.By signing the programinformation guide and/or housing agreement,participants are agreeing to stay at housing that has been pre-arranged for the entire length of the agreement.
  • Any damage to the property will result in participants paying the cost as determined by the housing management.Detailed housing arrangement will be disclosed by GEC prior to arrivals.
  • Temporary Housing is provided FREE OF CHARGE for the first 14 days of your program by your Host Organization. After that point,you will be responsible for securing your own permanent housing.
  • YourHostOrganizationwill assign roominglists based on arrival/departure dates and specific roommates may not be guaranteed.•
  • By accepting placement and signingtrainingplan,exchange visitors assume responsibility to read the House Rules and agree to abide by all terms and conditions of this Agreement and the House Rules.
