We are happy to say hosting an international teacher sponsored by GEC is very affordable and it will not bring an extra cost to your budget. We have a flexible approach to create solutions for our host schools’ needs and preferences. We work with schools and districts of all types and sizes – from independent, charter and private schools to rural and urban public school districts across America. Because of various factors that influence our fee structure, it impossible to list our fees here.However, applying GEC to request access to our teachers is free. You will not pay GEC before you decide to hire our teachers.

By the regulations of Exchange Visitor Program, all teachers must have at least two years full-time teaching experience. Most GEC teachers easily exceed this requirement. We are also happy to mention that many GEC teachers have Master’s or Ph.D. degrees as well.

Yes! All GEC teachers speak English fluently. Before accepting to our program, we interview each teacher to make sure they meet all requirements including fluency in English. Before a hiring decision, you will have a chance to interview our teachers.

All GEC teachers are located overseas. Once confirmation of hiring is issued, GEC will start the visa procedure with the teachers. It normally takes 3-6 weeks for teachers to arrive.

The Exchange Visitor Teacher Program allows teachers to stay in the U.S. for up to five years. Teachers and schools typically renew contracts with mutual consent before the end of the academic school year. Upon program completion all teachers must return to their home country to share their experiences of their time in the U.S. and must reside outside of the US for a period of two years before they can return under another J Visa.
