By facilitating the movement of educators across borders, this BridgeUSA program category promotes cultural exchange, exposes students to different global perspectives, and nurtures a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity. Teachers involved in the program also get to immerse themselves in American society, gaining valuable insights into its values and educational methods. This mutual exchange fosters respect and broadens global awareness. Additionally, the program plays a role in public diplomacy by strengthening international relations through educational interactions. Moreover, it celebrates diversity by ensuring that American schools reflect a wide array of countries, languages, and cultural traditions.

Participating teachers undergo significant personal and professional development by honing resilience, adaptability, and cross cultural communication skills. In today’s interconnected world of education on a global scale, this program is instrumental in preparing both educators and students to make positive contributions to our diverse society.

Participating this program;

1. You’ll become a global teacher! It’s a unique opportunity to learn different methods of teaching while also bringing an important international perspective to U.S. classrooms and students.
2. You will get to integrate into the local culture, experience what the country and people are like, and see places you have probably only seen before on television.
3. You will be able to teach full-time at a K–12 school in the United States for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension. After completing your program, you must return to your home country to share your experiences.
4. Teaching positions, along with associated duties, responsibilities, working hours, and compensation, are aligned with those of equivalently positioned U.S. educators.
5. Your spouse or children can accompany you during your program.

Who is eligible?

You must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria given below to participate in Teach USA program.

• Degree in education equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree
• Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience as a primary or secondary school teacher
• Advanced proficiency in oral and written English

GEC teachers are placed in K-12 grade levels and all subjects, including high-demand subjects such as:
